- Israel's ongoing military occupation of Palestinian territory and repeated invasions of the Gaza strip have triggered a fierce backlash against Israeli policies virtually everywhere in the world - except the United States. The Occupation of the American Mind takes an eye-opening look at this critical exception, zeroing in on pro-Israel public relations efforts within the U.S. Narrated by Roger Waters and featuring leading observers of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and U.S. media culture, the film explores how the Israeli government, the U.S. government, and the pro-Israel lobby have joined forces, often with very different motives, to shape American media coverage of the conflict in Israel's favor. From the U.S.-based public relations campaigns that emerged in the 1980s to today, the film provides a sweeping analysis of Israel's decades-long battle for the hearts, minds, and tax dollars of the American people in the face of widening international condemnation of its increasingly right-wing policies. Featuring Amira Hass, M.J. Rosenberg, Stephen M. Walt, Noam Chomsky, Rula Jebreal, Henry Siegman, Rashid Khalidi, Rami Khouri, Yousef Munayyer, Norman Finkelstein, Max Blumenthal, Phyllis Bennis, Norman Solomon, Mark Crispin Miller, Peter Hart and Sut Jhally.

- Are we controlled? To what extent and by whom? What does it mean for humanity's future? The enormous implications of these questions deter most of us who must deal with the daily consequences of the answers. STATE OF MIND digs deeply into the sources to reveal that much of that which we believe to be truth has been deception, deliberately implanted in our consciousness to erect a "tyranny over the minds of men". From cradle to grave our parents, peers, institutions and society inform our values and behaviors. But this process has been hijacked. STATE OF MIND examines the science that has evolved over generations to keep us firmly in place and maintain the status quo so that dictators, power brokers and corporate puppeteers may profit from our ignorance and slavery. From the anvil of compulsory schooling to media and entertainment, we are kept in perpetual bondage to the ideas that shape our actions. STATE OF MIND delves into the abyss to bring to light the manipulation and shocking and suppressed examples that reveal the true agendas at work. From the ancient roots of the control of human behavior to its maturity in the mind control experiments of intelligence agencies and other organs of manipulation, STATE OF MIND reveals a plan for the future that drives home the dreadful price of our ignorance. We are prepared for a new paradigm. Will we choose our own paths or have one selected for us? STATE OF MIND unveils the answers that may decide whether humankind will fulfill its destiny or be forever shackled to its own creation.

No one wanted to bring them up to the mansion on the hill and they wave as the driver disappears in a cloud of dust. Still, the meditation retreat pays well for the weekend so they shrug off the inhospitable locals and trudge on, stopping in their tracks at the mansion which looms large from the Aussie landscape..t. This weekend seems too good to be true! They're met by the eccentric Professor Manchester, barely three feet tall, but full of charisma. His giant, mute assistant take their bags and the girls explore the creepy corners of the house peeking in at an abandoned nursery, a drawing room guarded by mute stags staring from glass eyes.. The other guests start arriving: Brandon, a Physio student; Melanie, a brash psychic from Byron; and Nathan, a vegan hippie high on life. As they share an enormous meal prepared by Cooke O'Rourke, it becomes apparent that Every guest has a story... and a secret. With no small degree of skepticism, the the motley guests begin their "sessions". From yoga to 'remote viewing', the Professor is focused on all forms of meditation. During their first sit, the group is amazed when they're successfully able to remotely view an image. The delighted Professor explains his theory: that consciousness is a frequency that lives external to the body, and that each person is 'tuned' in to their own brain, like a radio receiving a song. The elation is short lived... Returning from the session, Nathan falls ill; but refuses to leave the house and forfeit the financial reward. The illness takes a sinister turn, and Cook O'Rourke begins treating him in secret - with an exorcism. When a raging storm takes out the power to the house, the group learns that much more than their weekend plans is at stake. During the 1920's, a seance went horribly wrong, inadvertently inviting 'entities' into the house. The group learns the house is surrounded by an energy field that protects them. With the power out, no one is safe. While discovering the house's dark history, the guests desperately need to get the lights on! One by one the group are taken, becoming displaced from their own bodies and having to 'borrow' those of their fellow group members! - CALIFORNIA STATE OF MIND tells the story of how one man rose against seemingly insurmountable obstacles and shaped the future of modern California. Rather than lionizing Brown as "the Architect of the Golden State," the film looks critically at Pat Brown's odyssey to build a "Super State," raising issues that transcend eras and geographic borders. As the Vietnam War shifts the nation's consciousness, Brown is caught in the middle of the cataclysmic 1960s, with the Free Speech Movement in Berkeley, fiery race riots in Los Angeles, and the United Farm Workers Movement in the Central Valley. Brown's epic battle against capital punishment unleashes an international uproar. Finally, a telegenic Ronald Reagan steps onto the world stage promising to sweep all that away. Brown's tenure ends as a new "era of limits" begins. Told from his granddaughter's perspective, Brown's struggle to overcome humble beginnings reveals a dynamic American Dream story - a compelling journey that unfolds through interviews, archival footage, home movies, and cinema verite as the filmmaker wrestles with the inherited optimism of her grandfather's legacy. The issues Brown faced have urgent relevance now - in the West and nationwide: failing education, crumbling infrastructure, gridlocked traffic, and water threatening to become the next oil. This intimate portrait of Pat Brown has the power to ignite optimism and provide a template for what we can and should expect from leaders today.
